Experience

Mr. Kosakoff serves as both an arbitrator and a mediator and has mediated more than 100 cases, with disputes worth up to $30 million. He believes that in order for mediations to be successful, it is essential for the parties to actively participate in the process, provide meaningful feedback, and commit to the process. He utilizes a combination of collaborative and facilitative techniques to assist the parties in achieving a resolution.

He is a member of the Construction Panel of Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association and also serves as a mediator on the Construction Panel of Mediators for the American Arbitration Association. He has been appointed to serve on the Commercial Panel of Mediators for the Nassau County Supreme Court and the Commercial Division ADR Panel for the New York County Supreme Court. 

In addition, Mr. Kosakoff has presented seminars and written articles on alternative dispute resolution options and the risks and rewards of mediation and arbitration.
